21 Day Fix Day 8

I am on week 2!! It's day 8 of my 21 Days, and I can tell I am in need of a serious check. Did I really only eat 4 times today, again? And one of those was NOT Plan-Approved ;). Let's look at the stats:

Meal 1: Strawberry Shakeology (red), blueberries (purple), water, ice.

Meal 2: Bread (yellow), cheese (blue), turkey slices (red)

Meal 3: Carrots (green), olives (orange)

Meal 4: Jalapeno cheeseburger on white bun, curly fries (NOT ON PLAN)

Workout: Total Cardio Fix

I think I was doing better when I was drinking Shakeology twice a day... haha But here's the thing: my family will always go out to eat once a week or so. It's just something we enjoy doing together. And there was not a single "healthy" option at this place, so I went for it ;). I have two goals right now with this program. 1. Lose weight (obviously), and 2. Show my daughters that food is a good thing, something to enjoy in all types moderately. If I sit there and NOT EAT while everyone else does, what sort of message am I showing them? I don't want them to think less of themselves for enjoying a burger every once in a while! And *I* don't want to think less of myself for it either! ;) So I worked extra hard in my workout tonight, and it kicked my butt, but it was a really great compromise. I took my photo tonight after my workout and I was SWEATING!!

However, I would suggest maybe eating a vegetable of some sort as a snack after dinner ;). That might have been helpful tonight.

Overall I'm feeling great! I have already lost an inch in my waist/hip area and though I haven't lost inches in my thighs I can tell they are reshaping as the muscle strengthens and the fat shrinks. My goal for Week 2: eat correctly, and continue the workouts. Easy peasy. I have a Challenge Group starting Monday and I am so excited to be able to watch everyone else do this program, or their own program. This is the part of my job I really love! I get to see first hand the power of motivation and determination! So excited for Monday :)
