21 Day Fix Day 2

It's Day 2 of the Fix! I woke up this morning a bit sore from my workout yesterday, which I was not expecting, but it felt GOOD knowing those muscles that hadn't been worked in a while were FEELING it!

Workout: Upper Fix

Meal 1: Chocolate Shakeology (red), banana (purple), almond butter (2 tsp), ice, water

Meal 2: Sugar snaps and carrots (green)

Meal 3: Spinach (green), peppers (green), beef (red)

Meal 4: Cottage cheese (red), peanuts (orange)

Meal 5: Tilapia (red), brown rice (yellow), avocado (blue), pineapple (purple), seasonings (free)

Today was pretty good, food-wise. I tried to use last night's leftover beef in my salad instead of chicken, and it wasn't my favorite combination but it still filled me up! I drink my coffee black anyway, so that hasn't been a difficult transition for me, and I was VERY happy to see that the amount of rice wasn't as little as I thought it would be! I probably ate too many crackers (it said 8 small and small is really subjective) but hey, let's be honest, with a plan like this it's always going to vary a bit.

I am loving the not counting calories thing, but I will admit today I was a bit hungrier than normal. My workout this morning was awesome, but I think I'm burning more calories than I have been the past couple weeks and it's taking my body some time to adjust to the feeling. I did the Upper Fix today and used free weights. I haven't worked out with weights for awhile so it felt good but I can tell my muscles are going to be sore AGAIN tomorrow.

Today was family day and we took a trip to get ice cream (YES, I sat there with my bottle of water and watched and smiled...). I admit I did take a bite of my daughter's blizzard, but when a 2 year old offers you ice cream, you don't say no :). So there's my slight variations from the plan today. Maybe too many crackers and an extra bite of ice cream ;).

Nothing fatal. Tomorrow's a new day.
