21 Day Fix: Day 1

Today was Day 1 of my 21 Day Fix. I am getting a bit of a jump on it so I can better run my group on the 15th and even after just ONE DAY I can tell this is a special program. I ate exactly to plan apart from eating five meals instead of six.

Meal One: Egg Whites (Red), Avocado (Blue), Turkey Bacon (Red)
Meal Two: Banana (Purple), Slice of Bread (Yellow), Almond Butter (2 tsp)
Meal Three: Strawberry Shakeology (Red), Berries (Purple), Spinach (Green), blended with water and ice
Meal Four: Snow Peas (Green), Peanuts (Orange)
Meal Five: Roast (Red), Potatoes (Yellow), Carrots (Green)
Workout: Cardio Fix
I spent a LOT of time last night planning meals for the week, getting the color codes and food types figured out and mostly memorized. It seemed overwhelming and complicated until I dug in and worked it all out.
My workout this morning was CRAZY. It was 30 minutes and was TOUGH but very doable with a few modifications here and there. I ate my meals, had lots of family time, definitely didn't feel hungry or like I needed more food. It was perfect. I know I haven't hit the hard part yet... 21 days of no donuts, working out EVERY DAY, no treats that aren't specifically part of the plan. I can do it! 20 days left. Well, plus the extra 2 weeks I have so I finish with my group ;).
I am ready to work and ready to rock. I have a goal of 10 pounds and some popping abs. And my favorite part? NO CALORIE COUNTING! I can't calorie count. But I'm tired of just guessing how much to put on my plate each meal... of course I'll overeat ;). This takes it to a whole 'nother level, telling you the types of foods that are ok to eat and giving you the creative means to put them together however you wish. After the program is over you can feel good about adding in whatever foods you've missed, but I am actually surprised how well I've apparently done with my diet the past couple months, because the 2 yellow carb containers a day don't seem so horrible anymore... haha
Seriously, anyone want to join me on this? We start the 15th! I will create MORE spots in this group just for YOU!
